7 things I did to get rid of ants from laptop

Recently a week ago I found my laptop as nightspot for tiny ants. They were playing maze game under the keys, I tried few ways to get rid of it, now they have vacated the place, and here are the things which I tried

1. First I tried cleaning the keyboard with a cloth but that didn’t work out well instead ants started residing in a tidy place, still they were staying there.

2. Then tried keeping the laptop inverted for a night so that the ants under the keys fell on the screen, by that way 25% of the ants were removed through wiping.

3. Meanwhile searching Google, I thought of trying the way given this link http://fertileforest.hubpages.com/hub/Getting-rid-of-laptop-ants , but the situation was not so worse to give a try for it.

4. Since laptops generate excess heat when battery is down, I waited till the battery charge was low, so now considerable amount of ants moved out.

5. When ants enter into the keyboard, the keys and track pad get affected at a faster rate, if many of the keys are not working then I thought of taking it to the service centre but for me only one or two keys were not working, so it’s not an issue.

6. Next step was to find the source of the ants, it was entering through an outlet of the wires so I made sure that the outlets were protected to restrict the entry of ants.

7. Finally I was wiping the keyboard daily to remove the ants which were staying under the keys, now the laptop is free of ant’s stay…
